There is no place (golf course) like home!
Crazy May weather but worth being out on Muckhart Golf Course and appreciating the surroundings.
Some of us ladies have been very fortunate to have been on the receiving end of wonderful medical expertise, care and support at a very scary time in our lives. This particular charity has made an incredible difference to the lives of so many women, their families and friends. Thank You Muckhart Ladies.
We can honestly say we completed today BUT ....to say we played our best golf would be somewhat of a tall tail!
Looking for more Pink Ribbon Comp Pics from ladies playing later in the day and on Saturday. Please send to lechristie@btinternet.com. Thanks in anticipation. Linda
There we were in the driving rain, blasting winds, 4C temps, in shorts, skorts, bare arms ready to tee off in our annual competition. Weeeeell maybe not! Don't think we are needing Factor 50 today.
Due to a change in date we really need 4 ladies to complete the team. Please contact Deborah Rettie ASAP if you are able to play...... ladies your chance to keep Muckhart up there!

Despite the snow and the course being closed the ladies put their brains in gear with a quiz, ate, drank, were merry and shopped till they dropped! After lunch Linda Rozens demonstrated how she made her jewellery, each piece being quite unique. She donates 10% of all sales to Cancer Research. It might have been cold outside but the clubhouse was warm and lively....and a tad noisy!

The Die Hards welcomed several new faces to their Mixed Finale on Sunday 9th September, in what turned out to be an impromptu initiation into what it actually means to be a Die Hard, when the rain hit hard in the closing holes.
Nevertheless, the newcomers did well in the Team prizes. 'Formula One' started in pole position and got the chequered flag with nett 29. They were Dorothy Dalton, Evie Houston, Tom Sommerville and, making his debut, Len Harman. Cath Ferrier and Jutta Griffiths, 'the Wet Ones', along with new recruit Steve Clode and last-minute stand-in Dave Anderson, were runners-up with one stroke more.
Janet Kotchie and Linda Sommerville recruited Vic Petrie and Stuart Hogg to make up 'the Dream On Team' who won the putting prize with a putting average of 11.75. Those of you who are paying attention will have spotted a common denominator in the Teams which won the putting prize in the last two years.
The Lady Captain, Alex Glaister, presented the prizes. She was the debutant with most rigorous Die Hard initiation test when her Team, the Puddle Ducks, suffered multiple equipment failure on the course, and had to complete their round uncomfortably under-equipped.

Well done and thanks for taking part to all the other Teams: 'Oh Dear!', the 'Muckhart Ryders', and the 'Try Hards'.
Ladies with or without handicaps are welcome every Sunday afternoon throughout the year for a friendly 9 hole 'Die Hard' competition. Once a year, the Die Hards invite the Gents to play a 9-hole competition followed by a buffet and prize-giving.
Eilidh Watson won 6&5 against Jane Black
Pictures here are Alison and Val, and above are Louise and Laura after receiving their trophy from a rather dapper club captain.
Sunday saw us hosting the SLGA National Foursomes Finals, with the matchplay semi finals and final being played along with a strokeplay event.
We are delighted to announce that Laura Walker and Louise Woodburn won the match play event which has been taking place all year with the girls battling through various ties all over Scotland before triumphing in the final. They won their semi final by 2 holes and the final 3&2 to lift the trophy.
To complete a memorable day Alison Houston partnered by Val Purdie, won the strokeplay event, much congratulations to all
Congratulations to Val Dolton, Ingrid Brooker, Janet Kotchie, Ann McCrorie and Helen Clyne for bringing the Dumyat Trophy back to Muckhart.
