All three courses are open - Naemoor on full greens and Cowden & Arndean on temporary greens.
From Monday 28th October till further notice, we are now on 'winter rules' which means no play from the fairways (apart from beyond the white stakes near the greens). Please move balls to the semi rough. In addition Relief from an embedded ball 'through the green' will apply. We would appreciate the co operation of all players as these rules have served us well over the years in preserving the course during the winter.

Muckhart won the Junior County Scratch Championship Final at sunny Gleneagles Queens Course on Saturday 28th September by 3-2 against a very strong Crieff side.
A fantastic performance by the team considering they lost 3.5-1.5 to Crieff earlier in the year
Robert Watson beat Calum McGuigan 3&1
Russell Malcolm lost to Rory Stewart 1 hole
Ross White beat Calum Graham 4&2
Ian Hill beat Mathew Scott 4&2
Gareth Hutchinson lost to Dean Gilfillan 3&2
The driveable par four 15th proved key to wins for Ross and Ian. Ross had just lost the par 3 14th. and stood on the 15th tee 2 up when his opponent put his ball in the bushes right. Ross sensibly played an iron off the tee for safety, found the fairway, and won the hole with a par. Ian holed out from four feet on the 14th for a par and his opponent missed from closer range for his par meaning Ian went back to 2up. Ian then drove the 15th green setting up a birdie and a three up lead he held on to.
Russel was up in his match with Rory Stewart until Rory fought back over the stretch/last six holes. The match went down the last both boys halving in fours.
Coach Neil Hill walked around with Gareth (handicap 11) who had never played the Queens before (Gareth stood in for Ogilvie Robertson who has an injured wrist) Playing against Dean (handicap of 9) Gareth played steady golf and was 1 up after 11 holes and all square after 13 holes, before losing out on the 16th, but well played Gareth on a great debut.
Out first, Robert Watson had earlier set the standard on his way to an excellent 3&1 win against Calum McGuigan with a good confident tee shot up the right hand side of the first fairway which was great for the other boys to see.
Thanks to coach Neil Hill, Junior Convenor Ken Bibby, Rab Malcolm and Club Captain Alan Bruce who walked round supporting the team at the final
Special mention must also go to Euan Duthie, Neil Jubb and Ogilvie Robertson who all won important points for the team during this season.
An emphatic 5-0 win against Pitlochry, meant the lads qualified for the Semi Final against Auchterarder at neutral Crieff, where they also won 5-0, with results as follows:
Robert Watson beat Steven Young 1up
Russel Malcolm beat Alistair Wood 5&4
Ross White beat Jonathon Dunn 3&2
Ogilvie Robertson beat Conor Smith 4&3
Ian Hill beat Oliver Saffrey 7&6
Congratulations lads and coach Neil Hill, best of luck in the final against Crieff at the Queens Course Gleneagles on 28th September.
On Friday the Muckhart Junior Open was held and in sunny but windy conditions Lee Smith of Ladybank prevailed with a superb net 68 to win by 3 from Rory Hutchison.

Report from Vic Petrie
There were 9 Juniors and 4 coaches as well as some parents who attended the event at Gleneagles. The weather was blustery with occasional showers but we did have some sunny periods. The original party was 12 strong but 3 Juniors did not appear on the day. 12 is a good number to have on such an event.
However, those who did had a very enjoyable time. We are gradually making the transition from the Muckhart way to the Clubgolf system of grading our juniors. If we get the opportunity to repeat the Gleneagles experience, we would hope to use it as an incentive and reward to those who are making progress during our coaching activities. Most of those picked will be from Stage 2 with a small number being the better ones from Stage 1.
Muckhart Golf Club have been involved with Clubgolf for several years but it is only this year that we have decided to transition to the formal Clubgolf Scottish Golf player highway. We have 102 members of our Junior section. not all are devoted to the game and we accommodate those who want to play with their friends etc. However, we have 14 coaches and helpers who do a tremendous job in the coaching/support roles.
I would like, on behalf of Muckhart Golf Club, to express our gratitude to Gleneagles Hotel for allowing us to enjoy their facilities and I can assure everybody that the kids do enjoy the experience immensely.
To outline plans for the year ahead junior members and parents were invited to a meeting on 25th March in the clubhouse where the new Clubgolf coaching model was explained and general plans for the year outlined, as well as any questions answered. Also present at the meeting was regional Clubgolf Co ordinator Mandy Martin.

NEW PORTACABIN FOR MUCKHART GOLF CLUB JUNIOR SECTION
If you have braved the winter weather and been up at the clubhouse recently you may have noticd that the derelict old portacabin at the bottom of the car park has been replaced by a shiny new one.
Muckhart Golf Club have purchased a new portacabin as a meeting place for their young golfers and the storage of junior golf equipment thanks to grants of £3,829 received from Clackmannanshire and Stirling Environment Trust and £4,146 from Awards for All Scotland.
In addition a lot of work was done 'in house' in terms of site peparation, and internal fitting out so it was a real 'team effort' to realise this project.
The official opening of the new portacabin was carried out by Ross White, Muckhart Junior Golf Champion and Junior Captain ably assisted by Ian Hill, Finlay Hamilton, Jack Naitby, Brenna Phillips and Craig Robinson. The golden key was then handed over to the Club Captain, Alan Bruce.
Ross who is 16 said “Golf is a great game and I have made lots of friends through it. I have had a lot of support from the club so who knows where it can take you.”
Muckhart Golf Club who have 120 juniors and 19 golf coaches are actively involved in the national golf initiative “Clubgolf” and can offer golf tuition from beginners to county level on their 27 hole golf course throughout the summer months. There is a membership fee but all golf tuition and equipment is free. As well as free lessons there is a golf academy and flag competitions providing a great opportunity for young people wishing to take up game.
The new portacabin as well as providing a meeting place for juniors will be used for quiz competitons and putting practice during bad weather and will be especially useful for our Primary After School Club who enjoy taking part in Clubgolf coaching free of charge from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Thursdays during the summer.
Anyone interested in joining Muckhart Golf Club Junior Development Programme should contact Jim Kean, Secretary, Muckhart Golf Club on 01259 781423.
